How To Choose Your Perfect Winter Coat

Finding the perfect winter coat can be a challenge. It's something you wear every day for three or more months, so it needs to be good. With that in mind, we put together 5 things to help you find the perfect winter coat and a few images of what we have in store!

Quality Matters. No one wants to spend a lot of money on a winter coat, but keep in mind that it is something you will wear every day. Quality matters because it needs to hold up and last the whole winter. 

Consider Layers. This one is really important. Part of what can make a winter coat uncomfortable is improper sizing. In the winter you will wear bulkier outfits and several layers so when you try on coats keep in mind that you need to leave room for the layers.

Know your shape. Long coats are very trendy but are not for everyone. Keep in mind your height and body shape. It helps to know what works for you. Knowing exactly what you're looking for in terms of what suits your body best (calf-length, knee-length, waist-length collared etc.) will ease the process by eliminating coats that don't suit.

Pockets. A coat without proper pockets and be so frustrating. Even if you have the cutest coat in the world, you will be annoyed if there are no pockets for freezing hands or a place to store your keys. 

Is it Warm? This may be the most important tip, so listen carefully: Your coat needs to be warm! There are plenty of cute coats out there that are in fact warm.
